Antitank brawlers in Brawl Stars

Punishes anything that has to come close: tanks and assassins. Here's how Smart Draft defines the antitank role, how the draft assistant uses it, and every brawler who plays it.

What an antitank does

Antitank is the most important role in Smart Draft's vocabulary, and it's broader than the name suggests. An antitank is any brawler built to punish opponents who have to come close, which covers tanks and assassins at the same time. High burst at point-blank range, damage based on the target's health, knockback or simply heavy damage up close all qualify.

In a draft, an antitank is the standard answer once the enemy shows a tank or an assassin. Assassins can't counter an antitank in this model, which keeps the role safe while the enemy still has picks left. Its natural enemy is the thrower: a brawler who attacks from behind walls never gives an antitank a target in range.

There are exceptions. Colette deals damage as a percentage of the target's health, so although she's an antitank, she doesn't punish low-health assassins the way other antitanks do.

The map matters as well. Point-blank burst is at its strongest on closed maps and loses value on medium maps, where steady ranged damage takes over.
