How Smart Draft works
What the assistant asks you for, what it does with it, and how to read the answer it gives back.
1. Pick the mode and the map
Every recommendation is tuned to the exact map, not to a generic tier list. The assistant needs the mode first, because the mode decides which roles the composition has to cover, and then the map, because the map decides whether those roles can actually do their job.
Maps are treated as open, medium or closed. That single property changes more than most players expect: on a closed map a thrower hits targets nothing else can reach, while a sniper has no lane to shoot down. On an open map the two swap places.
2. Enter the picks and the bans
Log both teams' choices in the real 1-2-2-1-1-2 draft order. Bans go in first. The board fills in the same sequence a ranked draft uses, so at every step the assistant knows exactly what you can see and what is still hidden.
This matters because the value of a pick depends on when it happens. First pick is made blind, so it wants a brawler that is strong on the map and hard to answer directly. A last pick is made with full information, so it should be a direct response.
3. Read the suggestion and the reason
The assistant weighs counters, roles, tier and map type, then lists the brawlers that fit the slot you still have to fill — each with the reasons behind it written out. A suggestion might say that the pick answers a tank the enemy already took, that it is strong on a closed map, or that it fills a gap the composition has no answer for. Reasons that count against a pick are shown too.
The score is a starting point, not an order. If you cannot play the brawler at the top of the list, take the next one you can — a brawler you know beats a better brawler you do not.
Optional: add your player tag
Entering a Brawl Stars player tag limits suggestions to brawlers you actually own, and unlocks your own statistics — trophies, win rate and your best brawlers. It is optional; everything else works without it, and the tag is not used to build a profile. Details are in the privacy policy.
It runs on your device
There are no AI calls. The scoring is a rule-based calculation that runs inside your browser, which is why it answers instantly and keeps working with no connection after the first visit.
